From The Telegraph
After England was eliminated from qualifying for 2008 European Championships thanks to a 3-2 loss at Wembley Stadium against Croatia, striker Michael Owen said that none of his opponents would make it on the "Three Lions" squad.

It's pretty frightening that we're already passed American Thanksgiving and into the Christmas/Channukah season. Time really does fly by. It seems like yesterday we were in London waiting on the O2 Arena to fix their lighting problem and get the Ducks/Kings game underway. That was September 29th. The grind of the NHL season is in full gear. Injuries start to linger. Arenas get even colder. The stitches start to pile up. The intensity of games increase. What more could a fan want?

UEFA
The nine group winners will automatically advance to the World Cup Finals and the best eight group runners-up will compete in a home-and-away playoff leg. A total of 13 UEFA countries will qualify for South Africa 2010.

It's crazy to think we're about midway through November already. Pretty soon, it'll be Christmas, then January comes, and before you know it, the All-Star break will be here. The schedule is finally in consistent form and teams no longer have 6-7 days off between games. Fans are getting good hockey now and if you haven't been to a game yet this season, get yourself to one. There's nothing better than live hockey.
